Vaccine Trial to Start in Four States
The American pharmaceutical Pfizer announced on November 17th that they will start the U.S. COVID-19 Immunization Pilot Program in four states: Texas, Rhode Island, New Mexico, and Tennessee.
This vaccine is a conjoint effort by Pfizer and BioNTech. The companies state that they won't give a front-row seat for when the vaccine is ready for the participating states.
Good news is hopefully coming very soon, if the trial goes as expected, we might have a vaccine very soon. This vaccine program is called BNT162, and it is privately funded by Pfizer and BioNTech.
